The Parks and Recreation Department strives to enhance the quality of life in the City of Sachse by providing high-quality parks and services for all residents. The department coordinates a variety of programs and special events for its residents and their families. Our Parks and Recreation Department maintains more than 93 acres of parks throughout the city.
The Muddy Creek Nature Preserve is a 206-acre preserve located in both Sachse and Wylie. Dallas County donated 147 acres to Sachse. There is a one-mile long trail system through the preserve. Muddy Creek Nature Preserve gives people a chance to appreciate an area still inhabited by a number of wildlife species.
