MAJOR COMMERCIAL AREAS
[WHERE] we are
Sachse has several major commercial areas that contribute to the vibrant economy. These areas offer unique businesses that will fit everyone’s preference.
The President George Bush Turnpike District (PGBT) properties are located between Miles and Merritt Roads in Sachse. This one-mile area is the next area along the PGBT to develop. This development contains over 150 acres suitable for mixed-use development, including hotels, grocery, entertainment, restaurants, corporate office, residential and other destination uses. The development is near the regional Firewheel Mall and adjacent to over 2,045 multifamily units. There is an elementary, middle and high school within walking distance with over 4,500 students enrolled.
Highway 78 is the major highway that runs through the city with over 49k cars passing per day. This three-mile area has direct access to retail stores, supercenters, restaurants, parks, and more. This corridor is ripe with infill and redevelopment opportunities.
The seven-acre 5th Street District is owned by the City of Sachse and Sachse EDC. It is located at the well-traveled intersection of SH 78 and 5th St. where over 49K vehicles pass per day. Adjacent to new 5th Street improvements and traffic circle, this district is currently being developed to create a “downtown” walkable environment with destination uses such as niche restaurants, urban living, and other lifestyle uses. The area will create a new downtown for Sachse that builds on the unique character of the neighborhood and creates a gathering place for the community.
Woodbridge Corners in Sachse, at the intersection of SH 78 and Woodbridge Parkway and near the border of Dallas and Collin Counties, is experiencing rapid growth. With the high traffic generated by Wal-Mart Super Center, Starbucks and LA Fitness, and new businesses like Hat Creek Burger Company, Black Rock Coffee and Specs Wine, Spirits and Finer Foods, Woodbridge Corners is a “prime location” for your new business or next location.
